This listing is for a 100g skein of hand dyed sock/4ply/fingering weight yarn on my Donegal Owl base. Donegal Owl is a fantastic 85% superwash merino/15% multicoloured nylon nep which is super soft and gobbles up the dye and makes for very vibrantly coloured yarns. This makes a versatile base for socks, shawls, gloves or any other items which call for this weight of yarn, and is a pleasure to knit or crochet.

Aubergine is a gorgeous deep plummy purple semi solid colourway which is part of a range of semi-solid colours that I have dyed on this base. It would make a wonderful lightweight sweater or cardigan.

This yarn is hand dyed with professional grade acid dyes and then rinsed after the dyeing process. However, please hand wash to preserve the colour and please be aware that there may be a small amount of dye bleeding out in the first wash (although this is unusual because I am very thorough with my rinsing). Drying in direct sunlight can also fade the colour over time, so where possible, please avoid.

Each skein is 100g and has 400m/437yards.

Please bear in mind that I dye skeins in small batches through kettle dyeing and hand painting. This leads to small variations even between skeins in the same dye lot so if you have a large project in mind, please contact me so that I can make sure you get skeins as closely matching as possible or I can custom dye a specific quantity up for you. Also please bear in mind that whilst every effort is made to ensure the photograph accurately reflects the yarn colour monitors do vary.

If you choose standard shipping, your package will be sent by standard first class (UK) or standard airmail (overseas) and will only be insured up to a total of £20 (including postage). This is the amount that I will be able to refund you for your whole package if it gets lost in the mail. If your purchase comes to more than £20 I strongly recommend that you choose the option at the checkout to increase the postal insurance.
